On this occasion, via our hand-carry services, we provided the fastest and safest time-critical logistics solutions available to help our client to ship a 30 Kg box, with a very delicate precision instrument, from Switzerland, and deliver it to the manufacturing plant in Mexico.

Delivering this equipment in the shortest time possible and guaranteeing product integrity at all times.

Vector’s operations associate for this account booked the first flight to Zurich, met with the supplier and picked up the cargo at 07.30 am in Switzerland. With the product in hand, he was able to catch the 10.30 am return flight. The box was received in Monterrey, Mexico at 02.00 pm. In less than 24 hours from picking the cargo up in Switzerland Vector delivered the package to our client’s plant after paying customs at the airport and driving to the final destination.

As the world attempted to navigate the uncertain conditions surrounding COVID-19, our client purchased an N95 Mask Machine from a broker in Mexico. The product was shipping from China and the client’s factory was set up in Lititz, Pennsylvania.

Since produce season in California was at its peak, trucking from California was expensive and difficult to find for a cross country move.

The product was very high value so the shipment had to be secured and transported by a trusted carrier.

Vector’s team in Mexico worked in coordination with the broker to get full details on the factory contact in China and shipping location. Then our team in China and US worked together to crating and securing the shipment with the factory, and to find options for getting the cargo to the US as fast and cost-efficient as possible.

Following the route and cost assessment analysis made by Vector, in agreement with the client, the team decided to get the shipment to Los Angeles and there transload on to a dry van and drive it with a team from California to Lititz, Pennsylvania. This was a more expensive option but fulfilled the required delivery date for our client.

It was a coordinated effort with many parties involved to make sure all suspense dates were met and all partners did their part without delay.

Our client, a Nissan OEM, asked Vector for help to coordinate and lead pick up and delivery of an urgent cargo to ship critical auto parts from their manufacturing facility in Bulgaria to Mexico. Their local transportation provider was unable to make arrangements at short notice.

Unplanned severe flight delays affecting the region during that period of time would cause a major impact for our client.

Air-freight space and availability was at a record low so the options for logistics were limited. The fastest options available using cargo and/or passenger planes was 2-3 weeks away. The export process and documentation from Bulgaria further complicated this shipment.

Following the route and cost assessment analysis made by the Vector team, in agreement with the client, we arranged ground transportation from Bulgaria to Serbia.

By working together with our representatives on the ground, the Vector team delivered all necessary paperwork to secure a cargo flight from Serbia to Mexico.

Our team delivered a seamless and fast customs clearance process at destination and the auto parts arrived on time at the manufacturing site in Aguascalientes.

Vector was trusted by Ford to handle an urgent shipment from their manufacturing facility in Poland to Mexico. After finalizing the shipping plan and the product was in mid-air, there was an incident at the facility in Mexico and the urgency of delivery increased.

The client’s needs changed once the shipment had started its journey. The original transportation plan included a stop in the US before getting to the destination in Mexico.

Following a listening session with Ford to analyze all aspects of the request, our route’s digital-assessment team evaluated the best options considering timing, logistics and costs.

Vector decided to terminate the air shipment as soon as it landed in the US and expedited trucking into Monterrey, Mexico, as this was the fastest option and reduced the overall handling given new requirement by our client.

The shipment arrived earlier than the original routing had called for, reducing the impact on our client.

Our client needed six containers to get out of their warehouse before the end of Quarter 1 2015.

We coordinated all the trucks to pick up the cargo before 8 pm, however, the bad weather cause the trucks to get stuck at other pick-ups and ours got pushed to the next day.

As we already made the commitment to pick up before midnight, we had only one truck to pull all the 6 containers out of the plant.

Our plan was to drive from Lawrenceville, GA to McDonough, GA, talked to the warehouse manager to authorized us to park the containers at the empty lot next to the client’s warehouse so we can pull them out and make them count. He agreed as long as Vector was there to act as a security guard in case someone wanted to take the containers.

We stayed with the containers all night in the rain until the one trucker we had gone back and forth to his yard. This was a successful plan and our client was able to meet their quarterly goals.

At a downtime cost of $2,000 per minute, Nemak, our client, asked Vector to urgently deliver critical parts and components of a production line.

From the northern city of Monterrey, we had to make it in less than 24 hours to Puebla, locate south of the city of Mexico. A delay in the delivery would cause a stop on the production line, causing serious financial challenges for the business.

The Vector team on the ground escorted the truck to pick up the goods in dedicated ground transportation from the manufacturing plant to Monterrey Airport.

Following supervised unloading at destination, the cargo makes it on time to the delight of our client.

Following our client’s request, Vector’s route-analysis team designs a logistics plan to deliver an important plant manufacturing cargo from Monterrey in Mexico to Alabama, US.

All goes according to plan when the Vector team receives a call. The cargo truck gets severely delayed on the border due to third party customs technical issues.

With all the information at hand and under a tight timeline, Vector’s route-analysis team evaluates multiple cost-effective scenarios to make it on time to destination.

Further to the final recommendation made to the customer, the team decides to combine air and ground transportation, splitting the cargo in two.

Vector secures a DC-9 aircraft in record time, a critical decision that helped the customer to avoid production issues at their manufacturing plant.

Our client in Haiti needed assistance sourcing a specific type of pigment from Mexico in order to fulfil a large order of plastic caps for Coca-Cola and Danone.

This was a big opportunity for our client to grow their business since they could not find the correct pigments locally to complete the order. They needed a partner that could coordinate with the supplier in Mexico and ship the pigments as quickly as possible.

The order was time-sensitive and the client’s continued relationship with Coca-Cola required them to complete the order on time.

Pigments usually are considered haz-mat which added a few steps to the shipping process and sometimes causes delays when exporting/importing.

Our local team in Mexico coordinated with the supplier to start the export process and during this time discovered that these pigments were derived from only natural sources so they weren’t considered hazardous. That eliminated some worries about the additional documentation.

The team worked to secure an export booking quickly and filed all the paperwork so that the order was able to get in transit quickly, delivering the pigments on time.
