Respect for people extends beyond our own workplace.

As a global logistics company, Vector operates within complex supply chains involving clients, carriers, suppliers, partners, and communities around the world. We are continuing to strengthen how we identify and understand potential human rights risks connected to our business relationships and operations.

Our approach is centered on responsible business practices, appropriate due diligence, and continued improvement as we build greater awareness and accountability across our value chain.

Our role in the supply chain gives us both limitations and opportunities to influence change.

Vector primarily manages transportation rather than owning the vessels, aircraft, trucks, and rail equipment moving our clients’ freight. We are working to better understand the emissions associated with that activity, improve available data, engage carriers and suppliers, and identify credible opportunities for lower-carbon logistics.

As our capabilities develop, we also want to help clients better understand the climate implications of logistics decisions and the alternatives available to them.

Environmental responsibility extends beyond carbon emissions.

We are looking at the areas where Vector can directly influence environmental performance, from resource use and waste to technology, business travel, electricity, e-waste, and supplier practices.

Our approach is to understand where our operations create environmental impacts, establish practical ways to address them, and incorporate those considerations into everyday business decisions. As our data and practices mature, we can set stronger goals and better understand where our actions can make the greatest difference.

Some challenges are too large for any one company to solve alone.

Vector has long believed in bringing people and organizations together around shared challenges. We work with clients, nonprofit organizations, industry partners, logistics experts, networks, and communities to exchange knowledge, strengthen responsible practices, and contribute our expertise where it can help.
