On June 24, 2026, two major earthquakes, a magnitude 7.2 near San Felipe followed within seconds by a magnitude 7.5 near Yumare, struck north central Venezuela. It was the country’s strongest earthquake sequence in more than 125 years. The damage has been severe across La Guaira, Caracas, and surrounding states, causing significant loss of life, thousands of injuries, and widespread displacement.
Since February, Vector has hosted “Leveraging Logistics for Venezuela,” a series of live conversations convened to help logistics providers, non-profits, and corporate partners understand the needs, gaps, and opportunities created by Venezuela’s ongoing political and economic transition. Following the earthquakes, the purpose of these calls has shifted urgently toward earthquake relief: how our industry can help move aid, share information from the ground, and connect organizations already responding.

Non-Profit Organizations We Know and Trust
Here are organizations actively responding to the Venezuela earthquakes.
- Caritas Venezuela: Caritas Venezuela is part of the global Caritas network, working through the Catholic Church to deliver emergency shelter, food, safe water, and medical care to earthquake affected communities.
- Convoy of Hope: Convoy of Hope responds to disasters around the world with food, water, and other essential supplies, while also investing in longer-term community development.
- Fundación Chamos: Fundación Chamos has spent nearly two decades working directly with Venezuela’s most vulnerable children and families, and is currently distributing water filters, infant formula, and emergency food to those affected by the earthquakes.
- Global Empowerment Mission (GEM): GEM responds to natural disasters and humanitarian crises worldwide, delivering emergency relief supplies and supporting long-term recovery efforts.
- International Medical Corps: International Medical Corps provides emergency medical care, health services, and training to communities affected by crisis and disaster around the world.
- Lifting Hands International: Lifting Hands International supports displaced and vulnerable populations with emergency aid and is currently collecting items to support Venezuela’s longer-term recovery efforts.
- Salesian Missions: Salesian Missions provides education, food, and community support to vulnerable youth and families around the world, including in disaster-affected regions.
- World Central Kitchen: World Central Kitchen mobilizes quickly after disasters to provide fresh, nutritious meals to communities in need.

Here’s How You Can Help Venezuela
A crisis of this scale can feel impossible to solve, and that feeling can keep people from acting at all. Below are a few practical ways to get involved, regardless of your resources or role.
- Contribute financially to one of the organizations listed above.
- Coordinate a goods or product donation, whether you’re acting individually or on behalf of a company, congregation, or network.*
- Make introductions. If you know an organization with a need and another with a resource, connect them.
- Amplify verified, credible information through your own social channels.
- Stay informed on developments in Venezuela, and talk about them with your community.
- Once you’ve taken action, invite others to do the same.
* PLEASE DO NOT COLLECT AND SHIP AID UNTIL YOU HAVE A PARTNER IN PLACE FOR SHIPPING AND ON-THE-GROUND DISTRIBUTION. Much aid gets diverted, lost, wasted, or overcharged without these items in place.
