Biography

Brian has been in the logistics industry for over five years where he partners with his clients to develop efficient and cost effective solutions that are tailored to best fits their needs. Prior to that, he was in the consulting industry for seven years. During his four year career at BCG, he has worked with C-level executives to create over $500M (USD) in realized value for his clients which include Fortune 100 companies and international corporations. Prior to joining BCG, he was a senior consultant with Accenture concentrating on strategic and operational issues across various industries. He also worked for Restoragen, a biotech start-up, as a research associate focusing on drug discovery and patent protection.

Brian earned his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management where he was the J. Ira Harris Scholar and Dean’s Scholar with majors in finance, management and strategy, marketing, decision sciences, analytical consulting, and entrepreneurship and innovation. He holds a BS in biological sciences from The University of Nebraska, where he received Superior Scholar and Phi Beta Kappa distinction.

Biography

Enrique Alvarez believes everyone has a personal responsibility to change the world. He has consciously chosen a hardworking, relationship-minded, and proactive approach to do his part.

Enrique is a Managing Director at Vector Global Logistics, which is dedicated to changing the world through supply chain operations. He is proud to attribute Vector’s success and growing social impact to its results-based culture, passionate teams, and its desire to develop real partnerships with clients.

Before co-founding Vector, Enrique focused on re-imaging and optimizing operations, sales, and supply chain processes with the Boston Consulting Group. Prior to joining BCG, he led various sales, logistics, and supply chain functions for Grupo Vitro, a global glass manufacturer headquartered in Mexico.

Enrique holds an MBA from The Wharton School of Business and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Monterrey Tech (Instituto Technólogico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey) in Mexico.

Enrique’s passions are soccer and the ocean. He also enjoys traveling, getting to know new people, and spending time with his wife and two kids, Emma and Enrique.

Adrian is originally from South Africa and has lived in the USA for 23 years. His experience in the logistics industry began in South Africa and encompasses a combination of business development, key account management and operations while working for large and small Freight Forwarders and 3PL’s.

Adrian prides himself on becoming a trusted adviser to his customers and strives to ensure their complete satisfaction throughout every stage of the supply chain.

Sophia was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and grew up in Lawrenceville, GA her entire life. She studied Managerial Sciences at Georgia State University and graduated with a Bachelor in Business Administration. At a young age, she developed a passion for travel and has visited many places internationally. Her family comes from Jordan and that has led her to develop an interest in Middle East trade and logistics. Over the past year, she has been finding ways to connect the supply chain between Jordan and the US at Vector. While not travelling, her hobbies and interests include baking, cars, and spending time with family.

To me, changing the world is improving the lives of people who are less fortunate and influencing others to positively make an impact in the world. There are things in life we take for granted whether it be clean water, clothes, electricity, or food. Nicole was original born in Frankfurt Germany. She had the awesome experience of traveling all around the united states and other countries which developed into a passion for world travel.

With her experience in moving and traveling she followed in her fathers footsteps and fell in love with Logistics and has 11+ years experience in the field. Recently she was living in Kuwait as a civilian contractor working along side the military and other foreign nationals, which fueled her passion for learning about different cultures. Andres was born and raised in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Monica was born in Monterrey, N.L. Mexico and grew up in Aguascalientes, where she studied Management and International Business at Universidad Panamericana, she is also certified in Project Management. In 2014 she Co-Founded a Startup and volunteered at Mexico’s Consulate in Seattle in 2016, after that, she started working in logistics and her favorite part is getting to know people from different cultures and helping from small to large organizations (especially non- profits) achieve their goals. She loves traveling locally and internationally and has been in many states of Mexico, the USA, and Canada. She practices outdoors sports such as climbing, camping, fishing, and hiking, She is passionate about learning, and her family and friends are what matters the most to her.

For me, changing the world is possible, little by little with our daily actions. It’s to create a possitive impact to improve your life and the others around you, including the environment where you live and your job.

It is to think what’s the world you would like to live in like, and make actions accordingly to that. I know it’s not possible to turn around the world from one day to another, but I believe great things are achieved by a lot of small decisions and people trying to be better. My favorite thing about working at Vector is that the values and culture of the company align with mine. We are the freight forwarder of some social companies and ONG’s and we actively support social projects. Personally, I love working with some of my clients that donate micronutrients to starving people in different countries, donate medical supplies to hospitals in Liberia and school supplies in Somaliland. For me to be part of the huge chain that allows these products to help the people who needs it the most is satisfying and makes it possible to change the world, to make it better little by little with my daily job.
