Biography

Brian has been in the logistics industry for over five years where he partners with his clients to develop efficient and cost effective solutions that are tailored to best fits their needs. Prior to that, he was in the consulting industry for seven years. During his four year career at BCG, he has worked with C-level executives to create over $500M (USD) in realized value for his clients which include Fortune 100 companies and international corporations. Prior to joining BCG, he was a senior consultant with Accenture concentrating on strategic and operational issues across various industries. He also worked for Restoragen, a biotech start-up, as a research associate focusing on drug discovery and patent protection.

Brian earned his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management where he was the J. Ira Harris Scholar and Dean’s Scholar with majors in finance, management and strategy, marketing, decision sciences, analytical consulting, and entrepreneurship and innovation. He holds a BS in biological sciences from The University of Nebraska, where he received Superior Scholar and Phi Beta Kappa distinction.

Biography

Enrique Alvarez believes everyone has a personal responsibility to change the world. He has consciously chosen a hardworking, relationship-minded, and proactive approach to do his part.

Enrique is a Managing Director at Vector Global Logistics, which is dedicated to changing the world through supply chain operations. He is proud to attribute Vector’s success and growing social impact to its results-based culture, passionate teams, and its desire to develop real partnerships with clients.

Before co-founding Vector, Enrique focused on re-imaging and optimizing operations, sales, and supply chain processes with the Boston Consulting Group. Prior to joining BCG, he led various sales, logistics, and supply chain functions for Grupo Vitro, a global glass manufacturer headquartered in Mexico.

Enrique holds an MBA from The Wharton School of Business and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Monterrey Tech (Instituto Technólogico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey) in Mexico.

Enrique’s passions are soccer and the ocean. He also enjoys traveling, getting to know new people, and spending time with his wife and two kids, Emma and Enrique.

Adrian is originally from South Africa and has lived in the USA for 23 years. His experience in the logistics industry began in South Africa and encompasses a combination of business development, key account management and operations while working for large and small Freight Forwarders and 3PL’s.

Sophia was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and grew up in Lawrenceville, GA her entire life. She studied Managerial Sciences at Georgia State University and graduated with a Bachelor in Business Administration. At a young age, she developed a passion for travel and has visited many places internationally. Her family comes from Jordan and that has led her to develop an interest in Middle East trade and logistics. Over the past year, she has been finding ways to connect the supply chain between Jordan and the US at Vector. To me, changing the world is improving the lives of people who are less fortunate and influencing others to positively make an impact in the world. Nicole was original born in Frankfurt Germany. She had the awesome experience of traveling all around the united states and other countries which developed into a passion for world travel.

Recently she was living in Kuwait as a civilian contractor working along side the military and other foreign nationals, which fueled her passion for learning about different cultures. For me, changing the world is possible, little by little with our daily actions. It’s to create a possitive impact to improve your life and the others around you, including the environment where you live and your job.

It is to think what’s the world you would like to live in like, and make actions accordingly to that. My favorite thing about working at Vector is that the values and culture of the company align with mine. We are the freight forwarder of some social companies and ONG’s and we actively support social projects. Personally, I love working with some of my clients that donate micronutrients to starving people in different countries, donate medical supplies to hospitals in Liberia and school supplies in Somaliland. For me to be part of the huge chain that allows these products to help the people who needs it the most is satisfying and makes it possible to change the world, to make it better little by little with my daily job.

I think that changing the world is something fundamental and that, we, as human beings, should continuously look for the good, even if it is a small change or a big one. I think that everything counts and I am aware that a single individual cannot change the world, but one individual can cause a positive impact on their social environment, and this social environment can do it in a larger one, thus arriving all together to a positive change that can have a worldwide impact, I believe that we live in times when creating an effect of change has become something every time more necessary since we live in a time that changes are so rapid that sometimes it may seem challenging to identify what is right however if we look for the common good and social good I think it will be there where we find the answer that is what it is correct and what should motivate us to change the world and how we should do it.

Jonatan nació el 22 de mayo de 1995 en Monterrey Nuevo León. Cinthya López was born in Aguascalientes. She worked as an English teacher and in a law firm before graduating with an International Business degree and beginning her career at Vector. Changing the world for me starts by re setting our own minds, leaving our egos behind to have space and clearity to start worrying about the things that really matter. It is to stop talking about all the things that are wrong in the world and actually do something. I believe changing the world means to take responsability into doing the things that others can´t or simply won´t and it is imperative for us to do so, if we want to make our time in this world valuable and durable thourgh time, because we are what we do and we do what we are.
