To fight hunger in Africa, one must be ready to meet challenges head-on, which includes challenges encountered in this project: planning routes and organizing customers for both shipping and delivery. Ensuring the safe arrival of donations to regions in Africa, such as Ouagadougou, in Burkina Faso, required careful coordination and attention to detail.

 

Vector’s team meticulously planned the shipping route, involving multiple transshipment points, including Houston, TX, USA -> Le Havre, France -> Tangier, Morocco -> Lomé, Togo. Despite the considerable distance and logistical hurdles, Vector managed to transload the cargo into trucks for delivery from Lomé to Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

 

Despite road safety, bureaucratic obstacles, and challenging conditions, Vector persevered to ensure the food reached its destination. This determined work ethic directly affected Rise Against Hungers’ ability to fight hunger in Africa.
